Art Journal #2: Colourful Life

Hello! Welcome to my blog. Here’s another art journal page. I wanted to go for a simple, but really bold & colourful page. I think I achieved 🙂

You can watch the full video at my youtube channel as well:

I used many colours of Distress paints to create the background. They are so easy to apply with its dabber, so all I needed to do was to apply it directly to the page vertically. You don’t need to be precise, because all that background will be covered with lovely Crafter’s Workshop stencil.

Before that, I covered the page with thick glaze as well. This way, it will look all shiny!

I used Ranger black embossing paste to apply on the stencil as I wanted a raised look over the background. To bind the page together, I also did some black splashes and created a black border with Archival black ink pad. So everything comes together.

I used chipboard letters for the beautiful sentiment: Live life in full colour. I painted the letters with black paint and glued them on the page. To make them pop even more, I used my white gel pen to add some white colour. On top, I added glossy accents to make them shiny as the background.

I couldn’t stop adding details 🙂 So, I decided to go with one of my favourite tools: Martha Stewart heart punch. I glued some colourful hearts on the letters to bind the page together with the colourful background at the back. I also used glitter pen on them and covered with Glossy Accents.

I hope you like it! Please don’t forget to follow my blog if you do, and visit my Youtube channel for the full video.

Hope to see you soon!
