Mixed Media Canvas

Mixed Media Canvas: So Many Books

Hello Everyone! After a long time, here is a mixed media canvas project. Last months have been very busy in my personal life with house moving, holidays and busy work days, so I gave a bit of a break until things settle a bit πŸ™‚ Now, I’m really happy to go back to normal and come back with more projects. You can Β watch the full video of the project here as well as my YouTube Channel:

I really enjoyed doing this as a decoration for my library because it reflects my feelings exactly! One of my passions is reading books and there never is enough time to read all the books you want to read πŸ™‚

I used a 20×20 cm canvas board from Windsor and Newton for the project. And all the supplies are listed below with links, as usual.

I started with creating a background that will look like a book page. So, I used a simple script stamp. Then gave colour with Distress paints. After that, to give more interest, I used a clock stamp here and there.

To have texture, I used a versatile image stenciling with black embossing paste.

My focal point is randomly found images from internet. I wanted to show you can make beautiful images, just printing what you find on internet. I found these books, owl and the hat of the owl separately. I coloured them with my Copic markers and put them together.

Lastly, for sentiments, I used alphabet stickers.

I hope you like how the canvas looks, and replicate one for your own library! Please do share with me your images. Leave me a comment or hit the like button if you like my projects πŸ™‚

See you next time!
