Art Journal: Fairy Christmas with Lawn Fawn

Himg_5154ello! I continue enjoying the fact that Christmas is close, so I will create as many projects as possible for the season πŸ™‚

I really loved one of the Lawn Fawn stamp set: Frosty Fairy Friends. So, I decided to create a Fairy Village with a Christmas touch. You can watch the video here and find full list of supplies both in YouTube description area or at the bottom of this post.

I created a night sky with Distress inks using many colors. Then, I used me favorite Stars stencil from Crafters Workshop with modeling paste. I also did some dots with white gel pen, and Liquid pearls to have some different interest in the sky.

I had the matching dies for this set. It’s really useful because the images are small and it makes life so much easier to use the dies to cut them. I colored the houses, mushrooms and fairies with Copic markers. I cut some hills with Lawn Fawn and Die-namics dies. I covered them with strong Scor-tape to stick fine glitter on them. So that they look like they are covered with snow. They look very nice with sparkling snow πŸ™‚ I placed them on the bottom of the page, then placed my houses, mushrooms, and fairies on the page. I also embossed mushrooms with WOW Sparkling Snow embossing powder.

I also cut some tress with another die set, it fit perfectly this setting. I colored them with Distress inks and again embossed some snow randomly as if they are under the snow a bit. I used the sentiment from the stamp set: We Wish you a fairy Christmas. It really goes very well with the page. I stamped it with Versamagic White pigment ink. It didn’t give a good impression, but it was good enough for me to go over it with my white gel pen.

Last details were going on the wings of fairies and windows with my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen, and using glossy accents on the windows.

Hope you enjoyed it and got inspired. If you did, don’t forget to subscribe, like or giving comments. That’s how I know you like my work πŸ™‚ Hope to see you next time.
