Art Journal: Butterflies

Hello! Welcome to another project with a very colorful page today. I wanted to play with one of my Graphic 45 pattern papers today. It was full of amazing butterflies and I cut them to be the center of my art journal. As usual, I will leave you with the video tutorial showing how I created this page. Supply list and close up pictures are down below or at my YouTube channel:

I used my Distress paints for the background in amazing blues and greens. I did some stenciling to give interest to the background. And I wanted to frame my page with another paper from Bo Bunny to create a striking contrast.

I fussy cut my butterflies and sticked them on the page with a little dimension.

I also did some texture work with another stencil and used some words that reminds me of butterflies 🙂

I hope you liked it. If you did, don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel and give thumbs up, so that I know you want to see more. Thanks for visiting and see you next time.

  1. Wow! Those gorgeous butterflies certainly POP off the page due to that background. I love that G45 paper collection. Butterflies happen to be a favorite of mine. I love what you have done especially using the stencils for texture. 🙂
