Art Journal: African Dream

IMG_5240

Hello! Welcome to another post on a weekend. I was looking through ebay to see some napkins, and I saw a beautiful Africa scenery with these amazing colours. I was inspired to create a similar scenery, so I bought the napkin to use the animals on it and create my own background with acrylic paints. So, here it is! As always, I will leave you with the process video that shows how I created this page. you will find the supplies and close up pictures down below as well.

I used mainly Distress paints to create the colorful background. I drew my own tree, and used a masking paper to create the sun in the middle.

I also used one gelato to do all the shading. The sentiment is from new Tim Holtz Clippings sticker set.

I placed my animals ripping the napkin and sticking them on my page. Africa is a beautiful place that I was lucky to see. So, probably this page is a memory for me to remember the amazing time I spent there. Hope you like it too, and if you do, please don’t forget to share with friends, or subscribe 🙂 Thanks for visiting! See you next time.
